Uganda - Bugisu AA

from $18.00

Region: Mt. Elgon
Elevation: 2200 meters
Cultivar: Bourbon, SL28, Nyasaland
Process: Washed
Notes: Orange Blossom Honey, Red Rooibos, Ripe Pear, Toasted Coconut

—————————————————

This lot from Bugisu is sourced from the fertile slopes of Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda. Nestled between 1,200 to 2,200 meters above sea level, this region benefits from volcanic soils, ample rainfall, high altitudes, and abundant sunshine.

Unlike typical East African coffees, this coffee is processed by smallholder farmers right on their plots, ensuring a hands-on approach that enhances sustainability and ensures higher prices for their coffee. This community lot represents the dedication of many farmers, with each bean meticulously handpicked and subjected to rigorous quality control measures.

From grading and weighing to density selection and an extended drying process, every step is carefully managed to preserve the exceptional flavors inherent to Ugandan Coffee.
