Preventative Maintenance

We offer affordable preventative maintenance plans for your coffee brewing equipment. All machines will eventually break down, that’s just life, but with a preventative maintenance (P.M.) plan you can stop catastrophic failures that cost you time, money, and lost customers. We do quarterly after hour visits, replacing parts that are prone to failure, installing new safety mechanisms, checking water quality, and keeping a general record of the health of your machines.

PM Visit Base Rate : The average costs for the yearly preventative plan and the cost for approximately 8-10 hours total of labor that covers each visit every 3 months. The plans start at $725 ($1000+ before the P.M. discount) for the full year, but is dependent on the espresso machine or equipment being serviced. This is 25% off retail cost on most parts for you and 33% off our hourly rate of $75 >$50/hr. The monthly on that comes to around $60. A small price to pay for a piece of mind that your machine is maintained, monitored and kept in top shape by the Hyperion tech team. Once we have your specific machines info, we can price out a plan that works for you!

Water Filteration

Water filtration is a huge issue both in terms of how it effects your cup of coffee and how it plays on the health and longevity of your equipment. Water quality is highly variable dependent on your geography and accordingly requires unique solutions. We keep your machines within warranty and engineer your water to produce the best tasting coffee.

Labor Rates

  • Reactive service calls are $75 an hour + parts

  • Preventative Maintenance Subscriber service calls are $50 an hour + parts

  • Same day emergency service + $50

  • Minimum on site charge is $75

  • Phone troubleshooting may be subject to applicable charges

  • False start-not ready-false alarm-forgot to cancel events will be charged actual prep time for service + actual round trip travel + actual on site hourly charge + actual time unloading from prep + $50

  • Consulting fees - $75 an hour. This would include equipment sourcing, café layout, water quality, etc. Certain consultation fees can be applied to future invoices under pre-agreed circumstances.

Travel

  • Travel under 1 hour – $25 per hour flat rate

  • Travel over 1 hour – $50 per hour flat rate

  • Travel over 2 hours – $75 per hour flat rate

After hours charges

  • After hours labor is an additional $25 per hour

    • After hours service charges applied:

      • 6pm-8am daily

      • Weekends

      • National holidays

  • After hours travel is an additional $50 per hour

In an effort to protect our busy schedules, our customer requests and a healthy work-life balance for our employees, we are adopting a policy that places value on our time and justifies the way our time is used and accounted for:

  • Service cancellations require 24 hours notice. Cancellations within a 24 hour period may be charged a $50 reschedule fee

  • Waiting to do work onsite is considered work and will be charged the standard hourly rate

  • We reserve the right to charge extra if you tried to fix it yourself

  • We reserve the right to charge extra for weirdness of any kind

  • We may charge extra if I find myself working in a situation that I recognize is uncomfortable or dangerous

  • We reserve the right to refuse service
